• The seaside town of Porthcawl is less than 10 minutes drive with its funfair, surf school and 5 beautiful beaches including the Blue Flag beach at Rest Bay.

• Kenfig Nature Reserve is just a 5 minute drive away. The site includes expansive sand dunes and Kenfig Pool, Glamorgan’s largest lake. It’s a great place for wildlife with many water loving birds visiting the lake. If you’re lucky enough to visit in May and June, the reserve is carpeted with wild orchids.

• Cardiff and the Millennium Stadium are just 20 miles away by road or you can catch a train at Pyle station.

• Swansea Bay and the Mumbles is 15 minutes away and if you follow around to the beautiful Gower coast and Rhossili Bay it will take you 45 minutes.

• The Afan Forest is perfect for those who enjoy mountain biking in Afan Forest (bike hire is available at Afan).

• The Brecon Beacons is less than 2 hours away with it's breath-taking scenery, waterfalls and of course the famous hike up to Pen-y-Fan.

• Ideal for access to the The Welsh Coast Path. Wales is the first country in the world where it is possible to walk the entire length of the coastline.
