September is fast approaching and time for the Elvis Festival in Porthcawl. It is 40 years since the Kings untimely death and time to dig out the old Elvis jumpsuit, dust off the wig, check for moth holes and try to make sure I can still squeeze into it without splitting the seams apart. There seems to be more Rhinestones missing than I remember but hey ho we can get the super glue out and stick on a few extra sequins, no one will notice.
What is the long range weather forecast? Do I need my wellies, or is the weather going to be kind and we all will be able to parade up and down the promenade in Porthcawl before retiring to one of the many pubs that are putting on the Elvis tributes.
After soaking up all the atmosphere and having a couple of pints ,it is time to leave the hustle and bustle of Porthcawl’s busy seafront with its myriad of Elvis’s in all shapes, sizes, colour and costumes, and retreat from the crowds and head for my B&B,
