The Milking Parlour

One Bedroom en-suite Self Catering Cottage.

This was once the old milking parlour where the farm’s resident herd of cattle were milked up until the early 1980’s. This delightful converted 1 bedroom cottage sleeps up to 3 people. The cottage on the ground floor has a lounge, fully equipped  kitchen and dining area .The rear door leads on to a patio area with views over the Margam hills.

Upstairs there is a bedroom with a superking / twin bed and space for a guest bed and en-suite shower room,

In the bedroom the ceiling’s wooden beams and A frames are mostly original and where they have had to be replaced the timber came from the Old Granary.

The cottage has underfloor heating on the ground floor, supplied by our Biomass boiler, and thermostatic controlled radiators upstairs. The oak wood flooring used throughout the cottage has come from a local school which was being demolished and should last another 100 years.

Access statement for the Milking Parlour

The Milking Parlour is accessed via the drop off point at the front of the building.
There is a 4inch step up to the pavement that leads to the front door of the property. You then cross the 2 inch threshold bar into the property. On the ground floor we have the kitchen and diner and access to the en suite bedroom is via a wooden staircase.
This unit is not suitable for the less mobile who are unable to manage the stairs.
There is a outside patio area for you to enjoy through the rear door this does have 2 inch threshold to cross.
The gravel car parking area is 30 yards away and is accessed through the farm yard.

We are part of the Green Recycling Scheme and we ask that guests use the Green Bins provided out side the back door to dispose of their plastic, metal, glass and paper waste. THANK YOU.
